Not one to allow circumstances to get him down for long, he created an entirely new career for himself, following his passions for travel, writing and digital marketing in a way that he'd never realised was possible before. He wrote about his banker-to-blogger transition in his (free) ebook 'Travelations' and spoke about it at his TEDxTalk titled "Passion. Empowerment. Social Media" in November 2012.

Day 1	Depart from Cape Town in the morning for Stellenbosch. The drive time between Stellenbosch and Cape Town is about 50 minutes. Stop at the Lanzerac Wine Estate for a morning tasting and history of Pinotage. If desired, visit Middelvlei Wine Farm for their unique wine-blending experience. There are numerous food and wine experiences in Stellenbosch; we recommend exploring them all in the afternoon. Day 2	In the morning, depart from your hotel to Franschhoek. Visit the La Motte Wine Estate for a morning tasting and explore some of Franschhoek’s art galleries and historic monuments.	31	Franschhoek and Coastal Route
