We are Bevan and Jill, a husband and wife team originally from South Africa but currently living in Taiwan. Growing up in South Africa almost certainly means a life of outdoor activity, and that was definitely the case for both of us. From hiking to surfing to weekends in game reserves, our lives revolved around the outdoors, and it was fantastic!

Road Trip Itinerary

Activities Kms Stay
Day 1-3 Arrived at King Shaka International Airport and drove to Umhlanga for a 3 night stay. Explored Durban during our stay. 18 Umhlanga
Day 4-6 Drove to St Lucia for a 3 night stay. Explored places such as Cape Vidal, Bat Cave, and Lake St Lucia estuary. 224 St Lucia
Day 7-9 Drove to Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Game Reserve for a 3 night stay. Enjoyed fantastic game viewing during our stay. 66 Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Game Reserve
Day 10-12 Drove to Giant’s Castle Game Reserve in the Drakensberg for a 3 night stay. Spent the three day stay hiking the trails. 470 Giant’s Castle Game Reserve
Day 13 Drove along the Midlands Meander to Nottingham Road for a 1 night stay. 69 Nottingham Road
Day 14 Drove back to the airport in Durban and completed the road trip. Stopped at the Valley of a Thousand Hills along the way. 162 King Shaka International Airport
