Very responsive representatives and website is pretty cool. They should emphasize a lot more that a credit card with embossed digits is required by the South African car rental companies. This almost caused me a huge issue, fortunately I happened to have another credit card on me. The reason it is required is archaic and a remnant of the pre-digital age but it is still needed and for many Europeans and Americans this could cause a huge problem when collecting your car over a weekend particularly.
Very efficient service from both Drive SouthAfrica and Thrifty who supplied the car, and with a much better deal (cost wise) than another company we used. Thrifty was efficient and flexible and changed our vehicle immediately when we realised the canopy on the bakkie could not lock. We would definitely recommend Drive SouthAfrica and Thrifty for rentals in Namibia.
