During the month of April, five Hi-Tec Infinity Challenges will take place around in South Africa. The race is open everyone and where it is possible to win prizes. At each race there will be Hi-Tec ambassadors setting a time to beat, in order to win prizes. The first 50 participants receive an Infinity Challenge Buff, the first three get a pair of Hi-Tec Infinity V-Lite shoes and all the runners who beat the Hi-Tec ambassador’s time win a Hi-Tec Hamper. A race that can be enjoyed by serious and more relaxed runners.
This year’s Hi-Tec Infinity Challenge started the 2nd of April in Port Elizabeth, where the Hi-Tec brand ambassador, Martin Dreyer set a high standard for the other contestants. With a time of only 7:12 on the two kilometre treadmill course in Port Elizabeth. Although Martin is not a professional runner anymore, he is still in a great shape. He trains twice a day as a coach for the athletes in the Change a Life academy. The closest opponent was a local runner called Mike Els which was only 200 metres behind. And for the women, the ambassador, Jeannie Bomford, ran in the time 8:30 and next after her was Kathy Mcquaide, 150 metres behind.
The race included really competitive runners and other who just entered for fun. There are still four races remaining and this weekend, 9th of April, the race will take place in Cape Town, Canal Walk and will be hosted by Cape Union Mart Stores. And the time to beat will be set by ambassador, Bruce Arnett. The entry to the race is free and first-come-first-run.
