This hidden valley in the Klein Karoo is the ideal escape from the busy city life, providing travellers with crisp fresh air and incredible vistas. Numbi Valley is an active permaculture farm growing fresh vegetables, fruit and olives.
It also boasts a self-catering cottage which is completely off the grid, with water sourced from a natural spring and run on solar energy.

For me, the Garden Route is the childhood favourite, but moving to KwaZulu-Natal for five years, Sani Pass is truly amazing! I also travelled through the Panorama Route and that was right up there as well… afraid I can’t narrow it down to less than three!

The stretch from Mossel Bay to Cape Town on the N2 is so beautiful right now. The canola fields are so gorgeous, it makes you want to pull over whenever and take a gazillion pictures.

Louise visited the Augrabies National Park during a Northern Cape road-trip in 2015 and was blown away by its ever-changing scenery – http://bit.ly/2bR9xof
She also recommends the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park (her very own bucket-list destination), which she explored in spring 2014 and was intrigued by its arid landscape of red dunes, dry river beds, and camel thorn trees – http://bit.ly/2bkT3Ik
